It was Saturday morning and I was lounging around on my couch watching reruns of Love & Hip Hop, I had my blinds open and the sunlight was shining right through my entire living room and throughout the kitchen. After I had enough of the TV drama, I got up and headed to the kitchen I had a taste for pancakes so bad but lord knows I can’t boil water without something going wrong, I was just gone try my luck today because I had no intentions on going out. I was in the middle of flipping my burnt ass pancake when someone knocked at my door, which was odd because nobody could get pass the front desk without the doorman calling up to confirm the guest, opening it without asking who was there, I came face to face with Banks standing shirtless in basketball shorts.

“Can I help you?” I asked with an attitude,

“Um Harlem has been calling, and she said you weren’t answering so she asked if I could come down and check on you, but I see that you all good, so I’ll let her know,” he said getting ready to walk off, but before he could turn around my smoke alarm went off, I ran away from the door quickly and made it to the kitchen to see the pan on fire, I ran to the refrigerator and grabbed bottles of water and tried putting it out but the water made it worse, I then seen Banks with a fire extinguisher putting it out, once it was out I grabbed my phone and called downstairs so they won’t send for the fire department, once I was done I looked up and Banks was staring at me,

“I take it you don’t know how to cook,” he said.

“Actually I was doing a damn good job until somebody knocked at my door,” I said, and we both burst out in laughter,

“I kinda can’t cook, but I wanted some pancakes so bad,” I explained.

“It’s this breakfast joint not too far from here, you get dressed and I will take you for pancakes, deal?” he asked. “It’s a deal, I’ll go get dressed now.’ After showering I put on yellow fitted maxi dress, with my Chanel sandals, I decided to wear my hair in a high messy bun with my bangs hanging. I walked into the living room and Banks now had on some jogging pants and a sleeveless tank showcasing all of his tattoos,

“Damn girl, I’m glad this joint serve breakfast all day or we would’ve missed out,” he said snapping me out of my daze.

“Well you can’t rush perfection now can you,” I said with a smirk, grabbing my keys and purse we headed out to breakfast. We pulled up to this low-key diner spot north of Vegas, the parking lot was fairly full. After parking we made our way inside the diner and I was in awe of the décor of the place, it gave you this Motown vibe, along with the smooth sounds of the great artist of Motown.
